VGC Trick Room Setter

Bronzong
VGC Guide

Bronzong features exceptional 116/116 Defense/Special Defense bulk, 33 base Speed that maximizes Gyro Ball damage, and the choice between Levitate (Ground immunity) or Heatproof (Fire neutralization) — making it one of Regulation I's most reliable Trick Room setters.

Levitate vs Heatproof: Ability Choice Framework

Heatproof (Recommended)

Halves Fire-type damage (2× weakness → effectively 1×), dramatically improving matchups against Koraidon Sun teams. Heatproof Bronzong only takes 2× from Ghost and Dark — making it very hard to OHKO.

Levitate (Situational)

Full Ground immunity including spread Earthquake. Provides coverage against Groudon-heavy metas, but leaves the Fire weakness at 2×, making it easier to target with Heat Wave.
